J P McDonagh is an accomplished team with over 40 years experience in the construction industry. Based in Huddersfield, but working across the whole of West Yorkshire and surrounding towns, we excel in all areas of building work. 

We take huge pride in making sure our work space is clean, presentable, and safe. We are licensed and insured, working with only the best sub-contractors and craftsmen. Our combined aim is to ensure that there is minimal disruption to the neighbouring areas. Furthermore, we invite you to visit us on site to see how we work and meet our team.

JAMES – FOUNDER, GENERAL CONTRACTOR & PROJECT MANAGER 

After working with his Dad, studying construction at college and then completing a university degree in construction management he then went on to work as a project manager for one of the largest stone restoration companies in the heritage sector; James has over 15 years of construction experience. Having a strong eye for detail and a hands-on approach you will generally find him working on site alongside his tradesmen ensuring every job gets his full attention and is completed to the highest standard.  

PAT – ESTIMATOR, GENERAL CONTRACTOR & PROJECT MANAGER 

Starting out as an electrician Pat has over 45 years experience within construction. In recent years Pat has pioneered many of his own building developments including, apartment blocks and new build houses, as well as managing 100’s of other building projects ranging from car showrooms and restaurants to small extensions and renovations.  Bringing his own flare to the J P McDonagh team Pat is the perfect person to help explore the possibilities of your future project design.

LUKE - SITE FOREMAN, BRICKLAYER & GROUNDWORKER

Luke started his career as an apprentice bricklayer. Having worked on building sites since finishing his studies Luke is now a seasoned builder with over 15 years bricklaying experience under his belt. Hugely versatile, calm under pressure he is one of J P McDonagh’s secret weapons. He is a highly experienced builder and has become James’ right hand man helping to oversee and manage the build process.
