James and Pat and the team built our two storey extension. They did a great job, on budget (always extra costs for unexpected work or changes to our ideas)! We were really pleased to have JP McDonagh do the work having approached half a dozen builders locally for quotes. The team were reliable and considerate (our 2nd child was born halfway through the build in true Grand Design's style!). They were on site every day they said they would be. It was good to have a single point of contact in James and the breakdown of quote and invoices meant we knew exactly where we were with the costs. There were minimal issues and the minor problems with sub contractors were all resolved through James or Pat which meant a hassle free build for us. They are clearly experienced and knowledgeable and were able to suggest different ways of doing things which made the outcome even better. Would use again and have recommended to others.

Having purchased our next door neighbours house, we chose J P McDonagh to manage our building project, which was to bring the two properties into one. We are very happy with the result, whilst we give J P McDonagh the architect plans J P McDonagh was very open with ideas and adjustments and we feel, in addition to the work being of a high quality the innovation from J P McDonagh has helped us achieve a better end. Having a Victorian property it was inevitable that unforeseen issues would arise, J P McDonagh were quick to find solutions to the problems and managed them in a professional way. The job was completed in the agreed timeframe and managed by J P McDonagh well. J P McDonagh very clearly owned the project and along the way ensured all jobs were finished to the standard both J P McDonagh and ourselves expected.
